Melissa Rutkoske

Attorney

Melissa received her Bachelor of Science in Engineering Management from the United States Military Academy at West Point. After three years in the Army as an Army Engineer, and then seven years in project management for the New York City utility company (Consolidated Edison), Melissa went on to study law at Quinnipiac University in Connecticut.

Melissa graduated cum laude and spent the next number of years practicing family law in a boutique firm in New York, handling much of the firm’s litigation. Her husband’s employment transfer from New York to Jackson, Mississippi allowed Melissa to practice immigration law.

Melissa’s philosophy from her years as a family law attorney carries through to her immigration practice—clients deserve competent, honest, and caring representation. The fact that clients, in both areas of law, are often in crisis only serves to make this philosophy much more important.

Melissa lives with her husband in Ridgeland, Mississippi, having raised four children.

Melissa currently handles affirmative filings with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, along with immigration court.
